OPPORTUNITIES: DANANG, VIETNAM
 Danang
is strategically located in the central coast of Vietnam, being the transport
hub of the rail, highway and air routes and has several seaports. It is
also accessible to the World Cultural Heritage sites and has key marine
and coastal resources. The integrated coastal management (ICM) project
is being implemented in Danang City, covering an area of 943.69 sq. km.,
with a population of about 723,000 persons. Danang has been earmarked
to become the cultural, commercial and industrial focus of Central Vietnam.

Investment Promotion Center (IPC) has been established in Danang, and
more than 30 ventures have been forged
with foreign investors.
Qualified
investors may avail of the following:

Corporate income
tax incentives;

Preferential treatment
for profit remittance tax to foreign investors;

Exemption from
import duties;

Government loans
for investment in special projects;

Granting of investment
licenses by the Danang Industrial Zone Management for projects valued
at US$ 5 million for IZ enterprises and US$ 40 million in the Economic
Processing Zones.
