THE INAUGURAL MEETING OF THE PARTNERSHIP COUNCIL

The Inaugural Meeting of the EAS Partnership Council is the first activity of the regional coordinating mechanism for the implementation of the SDS-SEA, after it is officially constituted by the adoption of the Haikou Partnership Agreement at the Ministerial Forum and the signing of the Partnership Operating Arrangements thereafter. The Council is the policymaking body of the Partnership. The meeting will be participated in by all the representatives of the Partners, which include the countries of the Seas of East Asia, UN and international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and others. The meeting will operationalize the Partnership and set in motion its programme of action.
