Deadline for Full Paper Submission
Approved paper presenters are requested to submit their full papers by
31 October 2006 for inclusion in the printed programme and for possible
publication in international journals. We ask concerned authors to
comply with this deadline as the Secretariat will not include works
submitted after this date.
Register Now! Comprehensive
Registration Form Now Available
A new registration form is now available for download. You may now
conveniently register your participation details, hotel reservation and
signify interest in the Field Trip scheduled on 15 December. Please
complete the form and send via fax (+632 926 9712) or email (congress@pemsea.org)
no later than 31 October 2006.
We encourage you to register as early as now to
facilitate your participation. May we request you to please take a few
moments to complete the form in order for the Secretariat to make
necessary arrangements such as meeting room size, number of conference
materials/kits, hotel reservations at preferred establishments (subject
to room availability), receptions and meals, and ground transport.
Invitation Letters for Visa Applications
To facilitate your visa applications for your planned trip in December,
a request form for official
invitation letters is now available for download.
The official invitation letter from the PR China host
will assist you in processing visa applications lodged at the Embassy /
Consulate Office in your area. Please note that the Secretariat will
only accept and process request forms from duly registered and paid
conference participants.
Please complete the form and send back to the Congress
Secretariat through email at
congress@pemsea.org or fax at +632 926 9712. All forms should be
submitted no later than 31 October 2006.
Information Bulletin No. 1 is now available!
To
help you plan your participation in the EAS Congress 2006, the
Congress Secretariat now provides you with Information Bulletin
No. 1. The Bulletin is a comprehensive reference for important
details such as accommodation arrangements, registration fee
information, travel details, and other answers to questions you
may have for your trip to Haikou City in December.

The East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress 2006
promises to be an exciting and comprehensive capacity-building event as
more partners express their commitment. Organized by PEMSEA and the
State Oceanic Administration (SOA) - PR China together with the Hainan
provincial and Haikou city governments, the event will bring together
the in-depth experience and knowledge of various experts and
international organizations on sustainable coastal and ocean management.
To date, the EAS Congress has gained the support of 41 partner
organizations and 47 Advisors and Committee Members.
