Hainan Dongzhaigang Mangrove Reserve is a Ramsar site and known as the largest and the first mangrove natural reserve area in China. Participants toured the mangrove plantation onboard boats.

Local guides led participants to the ecological village of Yanfeng Town. The village represents a typical contemporary countryside and a future trend or rural areas in Hainan. It is also the reflection of comprehensive benefits resulting from the success of mangrove preservation.
The participants received a briefing on the ecological village of Yanfeng Town. They were able to interact with the people in the community.
Situated at Binya Village, five kilometers west of Haikou City is Hai Rui's Tomb. Hai Rui was an official in the Ming Dynasty who was famous and highly regarded for his righteousness and integrity in enforcing law.
Participants learn about Hai Rui's life story through interesting illustrations and sketches.
